Description
Ultra Flow Autoshade is a light-cured, radiopaque, nano-hybrid flowable composite with chameleon/blending effect, designed to match multiple tooth shades using a single universal shade. Its low viscosity allows precise placement, excellent wetting, and adaptation to margins with minimal void formation.
Directions for Use
- Cavity Preparation
- Clean cavity; remove caries and unsupported enamel. Avoid desiccating dentin.
- For Class V, a slightly roughen surface for mechanical retention.
- Etching
- Enamel: 35–37% phosphoric acid, 15–20 seconds.
- Dentin: 10–15 seconds.
- Rinse and gently air-dry; dentin should stay slightly moist (not desiccated).
- Bonding
- Apply a universal or 5th/7th gen bonding agent according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Light cure bonding layer as required.
- Application
- Attach a disposable tip and dispense slowly.
- Place material in increments of ≤2 mm for optimal depth cure.
- Material adapts easily to margins and internal contours; use a probe or brush to shape.
- Light Curing
- Cure each layer 20–30 seconds with LED light ≥1000 mW/cm².
- Position curing tip as near to restoration as possible.
- Finishing & Polishing
- Finish using fine diamonds, carbide finishing burs, or polishing discs/cups.
- Achieves high gloss with standard composite polishing systems.
Contraindications
- Known allergies to methacrylate-based materials
- Large stress-bearing Class I or Class II restorations as the sole restorative material (use packable composite on occlusal surface)
- Patients with history of composite sensitivity
Indications
- Class III & Class V restorations
- Minimally invasive Class I cavities (small occlusal pits/fissures)
- Pit & fissure sealing
- Liners/base under packable composites
- Repair of composite and ceramic restorations
- Cervical abrasion/erosion lesions
- Small diastema closures and cosmetic repairs
